I have one thing on my mind right now: I need need need to win the Power of Veto this week, because if I don't…I'm probably going to be the next juror. Renny is the ultimate ally and friend, so I'm glad she's HoH. She really is the best kind of partner you can ask for in this game. She keeps me informed, she keeps me motivated, and she's (as far as I know) completely loyal. I want to be sitting next to her in the final two, not because I think I'll beat her (in fact, I think she'll probably win) but because I want to stick to the promise we made. Betraying Sarah last week was an extremely difficult decision but I believe it was the right thing to do in order to make sure that Renny and I are at the end. I really do believe that there's something to be said about playing as loyally as possible, but that doesn't mean you have to overlook making the right strategic decision at pivotal points in the game. Last week, I made sure that sound strategy superseded loyalty for the sake of loyalty. This week? I haven't made up my mind just yet.
If I win the Veto, I have to choose between evicting Dustin and Porsche, and the decision will be 100% mine. Last week, Sarah's eviction wasn't on my hands alone; I had to bring it up to Porsche and let her "talk me into it." This week, however, if I cast the sole vote to evict, the blood is 100% on my hands. Do I evict Dustin, the houseguest we were supposed to evict last week and who has been carried to the final? Or do I evict Porsche, my ally who has been mostly trustworthy and who I promised to take to the final three? Okay, let me word it this way instead. Do I evict Dustin, the least threatening competitor in the game who has no chance of winning in the final two? Or do I evict Porsche, the most social player in the game who poses a larger threat in competitions and is guaranteed the win if she makes it to the finals?
The truth is: I have to keep Porsche. Keeping Dustin is the smarter short-term move because it likely ensures that Renny and I will be in the final two. But keeping Porsche is the smarter long-term move, because it doesn't lose me any jury votes and it won't cause Renny to question my loyalty heading into the final three. I believe that Renny and I have what it takes to make it to the end together, regardless of who's competing against us in the final HoH competition. So why would I make an enemy out of Porsche by evicting her a week too early?
Renny told me that Porsche was seriously paranoid about me voting to keep Dustin this week (assuming I'm still safe after the Veto competition) and told her that I said I was guaranteed a spot in the final two if I was with Porsche and Dustin in the final three. Obviously, that was a lie and it pisses me off that Porsche would completely fabricate something like that. First of all, I would never say something like that because it means I'd want Renny to be evicted and that's the last thing I want (aside, of course, from being evicted myself). And secondly, I have never been conceited enough to say that I'm "guaranteed" anything in this game. I've fought my ass off week after week to play the best game I can, and my ass has been on the line more than once. For Porsche to misconstrue (read: flat out lie about) something like that just fucking pisses me off, especially because it puts me in jeopardy with my most important ally in the game. Thankfully, Renny let me know and I cleared everything up. But that isn't something I'll forget. Porsche should be grateful that I've weighed the pros and cons and they land in her favour, because that stunt is enough for me to vote her ass out of this house.
That being said, I absolutely have to win this Veto. I want to save myself, I want to demonstrate that I'm a serious contender in this game, and I want to show Renny that she's not doing all the work. She's dominated the majority of the competitions in this last half of the game but I'm right there with her. Beginning in Week 6, and with the exception of Steven's HoH win, every competition has been won by either Renny or myself. That's fucking wicked. And I don't want that trend to stop. This final Veto…is mine.
