Eviction 1: KENT vs. STEVEN
Surprisingly, I've actually debated this decision quite a bit in my head. I firmly believe that Kent should be evicted solely because of his inactivity. He hasn't signed into AIM once and he didn't even compete for the Power of Veto to save himself. There's no reason for that kind of a player to stay in the house when the rest of us are working our asses off to get to know one another and play the game. On the other hand, Kent is the kind of player who can easily be evicted at any time. Maybe this is the perfect opportunity to evict Steven and save Kent for later. It's an appealing scenario because it could mean eliminating a potentially dangerous player who's had the chance to play before and has some very strong ties to other people in the game. And if what Annie said in her nomination speech is true, getting rid of Steven in the first week wouldn't be a bad idea after all. The choice here is between evicting an active player and evicting an inactive player. Do I make the move that's smart? Or the move that's fair?
Goodbye message to Kent: Hi Kent. Part of me doubts whether or not you'll actually read this, but in any case, the reason you've been evicted is because you just haven't tried nearly as hard as everyone else to involve yourself in the game. It's frustrating to see someone who is never online and who hasn't talked to anyone, when the rest of us are putting in the effort to get to know each other. I don't believe it's fair to reward that kind of gameplay (or lack thereof), and that's why I voted to evict you. In the few private messages we exchanged, you seemed very nice and it's a shame that we didn't get to know each other better. All the best, beefcake.
Goodbye message to Steven: Hi Steven. I'm really sorry that you've been evicted. Clearly, I've gotten to know you far better than Kent (for obvious reasons) and I really enjoyed talking to you. The truth of the matter, however, is that I find you to be a very threatening player. The idea of a veterans alliance is a dangerous one, particularly to me and the people I'm aligned with in this game, and although you tried to diffuse the situation, it may have been too little, too late. I'm sorry that your eviction means that an inactive player gets to stay in the game for one more week, but your being on the block was an opportunity I just couldn't pass up. All the best, Steven. I hope to talk to you again, soon.
I vote to evict Kent.
Eviction 2: RAGAN vs. KAREN
This eviction is a no-brainer. Karen is a fellow Cougar and she isn't going anywhere. Ragan, meanwhile, has been scheming with all the wrong people and skipping out on opportunities to save his own ass in this game. There's absolutely no benefit to keeping him around. I can evict either an ally who has given me no reason to distrust her or a quasi-enemy who isn't nearly as active as he should be, especially considering his precarious status in the game at the moment.
Goodbye message to Ragan: Hi Ragan. I'm sorry you've been evicted but, in all honesty, there wasn't much you could do to save yourself after you skipped out on the Veto. And you really shot yourself in the foot with your outburst right before the eviction. I think you made some very poor choices in the game and had a bit of bad luck, especially in trying to form alliances with people I was already aligned with. You sealed your own fate in this game, kiddo. All the best.
Goodbye message to Karen: Karen, if you're reading this, I have no idea what the hell happened. There is no reason whatsoever for you to be out of the game while Ragan still has the chance to play. I want you to know that I had your back and, even though you're not here in the game anymore, Renny and I are going to prey on the rest of these houseguests like two milfs at a frat party. Cougar power! Love you, mama. <3
I vote to evict Ragan.
